Job summary

Fastrain, a Malaysia-based manufacturing company, invites applications for an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to establish standard labor hours and analyze work methods to boost productivity and efficiency on the shop floor.

You will plan layouts, monitor SMT capacity, coordinate with departments, and ensure assembly line readiness against the master schedule, bringing strong collaboration and communication to the production team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain standard labor hours for manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and improve work methods to enhance productivity and efficiency.

• Review and optimize line capacity and flexibility by reducing NVA activities and utilizing common equipment.

• Manage equipment inventory and coordinate transfers to meet operational requirements.
• Other additional work tasks or roles assigned by the superior.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or Industrial Engineering

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively across departments
