Suka Chemicals is seeking a dedicated Chemist to support laboratory testing, product evaluation, and technical services to ensure product quality and performance meet customer requirements. You will handle testing across coatings, inks, rubber, plastics, and related sectors, while maintaining safety and 5S standards.

The role requires a chemistry-related degree, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is a plus).
• Fresh graduates encouraged; relevant lab experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory testing methods, chemical handling, safety, and properties.
• Familiarity with lab equipment, testing procedures and technical reporting.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Willing to learn new testing methods and product applications.

Aufgaben

• Conduct laboratory testing and evaluation of industrial chemical products across market segments.
• Conduct joint product testing with customers/principals and prepare technical test reports.
• Conduct analytical and comparative testing of competitors' products to evaluate performance.
• Support daily laboratory operations: inventory management, equipment, consumables, and housekeeping.
• Ensure proper chemical handling, storage, safety, waste management, and 5S practices.
• Assist in lab equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and improvements.
• Coordinate, monitor, and track sample requests from suppliers and ensure timely follow-up.
• Provide monthly updates and reports on laboratory testing activities and results.
• Carry out programmes, projects, assignments, or other duties as assigned.

Ausbildung

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
