Job summary

Nolato (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer in Penang to design and implement automation solutions for molding and packaging lines. You will lead projects, program PLCs/HMIs, and integrate robotics and vision systems to advance Industry 4.0 initiatives.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in industrial automation, a relevant engineering degree, and experience with AutoCAD Electrical. Knowledge of ISO standards and continuous improvement is welcomed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or related field.
Minimum 3 years in industrial automation or manufacturing engineering.
Experience in plastic injection molding, silicone dispensing, die-cut converting, or related environment.
Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001, IATF 16949 (preferred).
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement manufacturing automation solutions.
Lead automation projects from concept through production handover.
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs and HMI interfaces.
Program and optimize industrial robots and gantry systems.
Maintain machine vision inspection systems.
Improve OEE, cycle time, yield, and productivity through continuous improvement.
Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities.
Troubleshoot automation-related equipment failures and production issues.
