Job summary

Flextronics Technology (Penang) Sdn Bhd in Perai, Penang seeks a Commodity Analyst Indirect to support RFQ processes, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories. The role involves data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers, plus assisting in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or materials planning.
• Experience in data analysis, RFQ handling, and supplier coordination.
• Knowledge of indirect procurement or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills (cost analysis, pricing comparison).
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ process, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories
• Conduct data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers
• Assist in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers
• Maintain and monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, finance) to clarify requirements
• Support cost savings, cost avoidance, and inventory optimization initiatives
• Analyze and report commodity risks, market trends, and sourcing opportunities
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes
