Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking a Commodity Analyst Indirect in Perai, Penang to support RFQ processes, perform spend analyses, and drive supplier negotiations. The role focuses on indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment and requires coordination with operations, engineering, and finance teams.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of procurement experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a data-driven approach to cost savings and supplier performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or materials planning.
• Experience in data analysis, RFQ handling, and supplier coordination.
• Knowledge of indirect procurement or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills (cost analysis, pricing comparison).
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ process, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories
• Conduct data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers
• Assist in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers
• Maintain and monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, finance) to clarify requirements
• Support cost savings, cost avoidance, and inventory optimization initiatives
• Analyze and report commodity risks, market trends, and sourcing opportunities
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes
