Qualifications

• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy or Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology.
• Valid Practicing Certificate by the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (2 yearly renewal).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation abilities.
• Empathy and active listening in patient and staff interactions.
• Collaborative leadership within multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop tailored treatment and discharge plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy interventions and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in KCIS/EHR and report findings to referring doctors.
• Counsel patients and families, provide home program guidance and support self-management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary rehab team to ensure coordinated service delivery.
• Assist in service operations, scheduling and KPI data collection.
• Engage in CPD activities and maintain professional standards.
• Ensure compliance with KPJ policies, MSQH/JCI/ISO standards and MOH regulations.
