Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver evidence-based services across the lifespan, from assessment to treatment of communication and swallowing disorders, within an interdisciplinary team.

You will lead assessments, plan discharges, provide therapy, document in KCIS/EHR, educate families, and mentor junior staff while upholding KPJ policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy or Bachelor of Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid Practising Certificate by the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council.
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Empathy and active listening in patient and staff interactions.
• Collaborative leadership within multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and discharge planning tailored to age and clinical condition.
• Provide evidence-based speech language therapy interventions to maximise function.
• Maintain accurate documentation in KCIS/EHR and report findings to doctors.
• Counsel patients and families and provide home program guidance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary rehab teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Support service operations, scheduling, and KPI data collection.
