Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Interior Design/Fit-out Coordinator to manage design development through to project completion in Malaysia.

You will review drawings, coordinate with clients and contractors, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with specifications while supporting procurement, QA/QC, site meetings, and handover. A relevant degree and 5+ years of experience in interior fit-out or construction are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior fit-out or construction projects.
• Able to read and interpret interior design, architectural, and shop drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all interior design and fit-out activities from design development through project completion.
• Review design drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and suppliers on design and technical matters.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Attend site meetings, inspections, and coordinate the resolution of design and site issues.
• Prepare and track material submissions, samples, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials in coordination with the procurement team.
• Monitor project schedules and highlight potential delays or risks.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and site teams to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Assist in project handover, defect rectification, and close-out documentation.
• Maintain proper filing of project records, drawings, correspondence, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and client requirements.
