Job summary

Tech-Store Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an ICT leader to plan work, allocate resources, supervise the ICT Engineer and ICT Technician, and maintain continuous operational coverage.

The role includes ISMS management, roadmap delivery, security operations, governance reporting and capability development to build resilient, cost-effective IT services for the business.

Qualifications

• Broad hands-on knowledge of networks, servers, cloud services, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoints, backup and cybersecurity.
• Practical knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, ICT risk, access, incident, change, asset and supplier management.
• Strong leadership, prioritisation, reporting, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate the ICT Roadmap into controlled work plans, milestones and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• ICT leadership: Plan work, allocate resources, supervise the ICT Engineer and ICT Technician, and maintain operational coverage.
• Temporary operational cover: Maintain essential ICT services during staff absence, resignation or vacancies.
• ISMS management: Coordinate policies, risk treatment, incidents, awareness, audits and management-review inputs.
• Roadmap delivery: Maintain the approved 24-month ICT Roadmap, track milestones quarterly and obtain approval for material changes.
• Operations and security: Oversee service desk, infrastructure, identity, access, monitoring, patching, backup and cybersecurity controls.
• Maker-checker oversight: Review sensitive work and ensure independent review for privileged activities.
• Governance and reporting: Maintain accurate documentation, budgets, supplier controls and timely CIO reports.
• Capability development: Coach staff, arrange training and reduce single-person dependency through delegation.

Job description

ICT leadership: Plan work, allocate resources, supervise the ICT Engineer and ICT Technician, and maintain operational coverage.

Temporary operational cover: Maintain essential ICT services during staff absence, resignation or vacancies. Personally cover essential Engineer and Technician duties within competence and authorised access; promptly escalating capacity gaps to the CIO and seeking approval for temporary support, reassignment or reprioritisation.[DR1]

ISMS management: Coordinate policies, registers, risk treatment, incidents, awareness, evidence, audits and management-review inputs.

Roadmap delivery: Maintain the approved 24-month ICT Roadmap, track milestones quarterly and obtain approval for material changes.

Operations and security: Oversee service desk, infrastructure, identity, access, monitoring, patching, backup, recovery and cybersecurity controls.

Maker-checker oversight: Review sensitive work performed by ICT staff and ensure the Manager's own privileged activities receive CIO or independent review.

Governance and reporting: Maintain accurate documentation, budgets, supplier controls, metrics and timely reports to the CIO.

Capability development: Coach staff, arrange training and reduce single-person dependency through delegation and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:-

Broad hands‑on knowledge of networks, servers, cloud services, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoints, backup and cybersecurity.

Practical knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, ICT risk, access, incident, change, asset and supplier management.

Strong leadership, prioritisation, reporting, documentation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Ability to translate the ICT Roadmap into controlled work plans, milestones and measurable outcomes.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

ISO/IEC 27001 Implementer, ITIL, Microsoft, networking or security certification is preferred.

Normally 7 or more years of broad ICT experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory, lead or accountable operational role.

Knowledge/Skills:

Able to speak fluent Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Excellent knowledge of IT systems, networks, cybersecurity, firewalls, and related technologies.

Proficiency in IT security and data protection.

Ability to manage budgets and perform cost‑benefit analysis.

Project management skills and familiarity with project management software.
