Job summary

TDCX Malaysia is hiring an Information Technology Specialist to help maintain 24/7 server availability, monitor uptime, capacity, and security, and document configurations. You will assist with backups, patching, and incident response in a collaborative environment.

The role requires IT qualifications with hands-on server/network experience, and strong English communication. On-site work with opportunities for growth in a global BPO setting.

Qualifications

Diploma or higher in IT/CS or equivalent.
Two years' experience in IT support or admin role preferred.
Experience with server and network administration.

Responsibilities

Ensure servers run in a 24/7 environment with optimal uptime.
Produce weekly/monthly uptime, capacity, security, and SLA reports.
Document IT processes and server configurations.
Audit vulnerabilities and patch management.
Oversee backups and recovery procedures.
Perform other duties as required to support IT operations.

What is your mission?

Ensure that servers are running at an optimal level in a 24/7 operating environment.
Provide weekly and monthly reports of system uptime, server capacity, security compliance, and SLA metrics.
Document processes for System and IT related procedures to ensure standard builds are maintained, ensuring to document configuration settings of servers, processes, and policies.
Perform system audit of vulnerabilities.
Oversee the security compliance level of mission‑critical servers are properly patched in accordance to the defined patch management policy.
Performs and monitors (daily, weekly, monthly) server back up and its recovery process.
Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time, within your category of employment in the organization and for the effective implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System of TDCX.

Who are we looking for?

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
Preferably with 2 years of working experience in the related field is ideal for this position
Knowledgeable in IT equipment especially desktop and laptops â both in Hardware and Software.
Ability to troubleshoot problem systematically.
Familiarity with Inventory and Helpdesk Ticketing Tool is an advantage.
Demonstrated hands‑on experience with computer networks, server administration, and server installation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the language of the supporting market.
