Job summary

Shen Milsom & Wilke is seeking an IT systems designer to develop concepts, designs, and technical solutions aligned with client requirements. You will prepare architecture, network diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings for projects in Johor, Malaysia.

You will coordinate IT design with architects and M&E consultants, review submissions, and ensure installation and commissioning meet project requirements while staying up to date with latest IT infrastructure practices.

Job description

Develop IT system concepts, designs, and technical solutions based on project and client requirements.

Prepare IT system architecture, network diagrams, layouts, riser diagrams, and technical drawings.

Prepare technical specifications, equipment schedules, BOQ/BOM, and tender documents.

Design and recommend suitable IT infrastructure and technology solutions.

Coordinate IT design with architects, M&E consultants, AV consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Review and evaluate technical submissions, shop drawings, equipment proposals, and material submissions.

Provide technical advice on network infrastructure, structured cabling, Wi‑Fi, server rooms, data centres, and IT systems.

Attend project meetings, site inspections, and technical coordination meetings.

Review installation, testing, commissioning, and system performance for compliance with project requirements.

Review as-built drawings, test reports, operation manuals, and handover documentation.

Keep up to date with the latest IT infrastructure, networking technologies, standards, and industry practices.
