Job summary

JLL is seeking a MYROC IFM-FFO (Instrument & Control) Facilities Engineer based in Penang/Kulim, Malaysia. The role focuses on central operations for integrated facility management, with a 24/7 monitoring remit across sites and engineering systems.

Applicants should have a background in electrical/electronic instrumentation, experience with BMS/SCADA, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Local work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or Industrial Control System (ICS).
• Experience with Facilities/Utilities System, field instruments, control valves classification.
• Experience in one of the following HMI products: Cimplicity, or Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk.
• Experience in one of the following PLC products: Rockwell Automation, Siemens.
• Experience in Semiconductor, Factory Automation, Warehouse Automation, or other industrial automation systems.
• Experience with IoT solutions or robotic solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting PLCs and HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Create/modify PIDs, instrument loop diagrams, control system schematics, and select field instruments (transmitters, sensors, control valves).
• Implement control strategies using DCS, PLC, or SCADA systems.
• Provide content development support remotely across Intel's Industrial Control Systems landscape, including HMI and PLC development, IoT and Robotic development, and commissioning efforts.
• Conduct thorough analysis of complex scenarios to effectively troubleshoot incidents and perform comprehensive root cause analysis.
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
• Looks for opportunities to automate business process with technology and may provide consultation to users in automated systems.
• Works closely with business to develop required training, change management and operations process.
• Collecting and analyzing information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system.
