Job summary

JLL is seeking a seasoned Electrical/Industrial Controls Engineer for the MYROC IFM-FFO team based in Penang/Kulim, Malaysia. The role focuses on instrument & control systems, DCS/PLC/SCADA implementations, and 24/7 incident monitoring within a central operations framework.

You will collaborate with site teams, vendors, and regional operations to ensure reliability, perform root cause analysis, and support automation initiatives across facilities and data centres.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or Industrial Control System (ICS).
• Experience with Facilities/Utilities System, field instruments, control valves classification.
• Experience in HMI products: Cimplicity, Rockwell FactoryTalk.
• Experience in PLC products: Rockwell, Siemens.
• Experience in Industrial automation: semiconductor, factory/warehouse automation.
• Experience with IoT or robotic solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and coordination with technicians/engineers.
• Willingness to work in 24/7 operational environment and support critical incidents.

Responsibilities

• Create/modify PIDs, instrument loop diagrams and control system schematics.
• Implement control strategies using DCS, PLC or SCADA systems.
• Provide content development support remotely across Intel's ICS landscape (HMI/PLC/IoT/Robotics).
• Conduct thorough analysis to troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Prepare technical documentation to guide system users and operations.
• Develop and optimize training, change management and operations processes.
• Coordinate testing of new/updated applications and provide support.
• Monitor and maintain equipment via BMS/PME across sites and vendors.
