Job summary

Surechem Sdn Bhd is seeking an IT Technician to maintain computers, servers, network devices, software and databases, ensuring systems run smoothly across Cyberjaya. You will troubleshoot faults and verify data accuracy in online and manual records.

Responsibilities include updating records, archiving data, and maintaining the Hydroinformatiks website. You will prepare monthly reports and provide technical feedback during off-hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain computers, servers, network equipment, software, applications, databases, and storage.
• Troubleshoot technical problems when systems or equipment fail.
• Online and manual data verification
• Check whether data entered through the online system is correct.
• Check manually entered data for completeness and accuracy.
• Update both manual and online observation records in the system.
• Ensure the latest information is properly recorded.
• Record and review system logs.
• Look for errors, failed processes, connection problems, or unusual system activity.
• Data backup and archiving
• Archive older data so it can be retrieved when needed.
• Check that backups are working properly.
• Website maintenance
• Manage and maintain the Hydroinformatiks website.
• This could include checking availability, updating content, troubleshooting errors, and coordinating technical fixes.
• Monthly reports
• Prepare reports on system status, maintenance activities, data issues, incidents, and work performed during the month.
• If online or manual data is missing, determine why.
• For example, the problem could be a network failure, sensor/data transmission problem, database issue, application error, or manual-entry issue.
• Resolve the problem or escape to appropriate technical team.
• 24-hour standby
• The person must be available outside normal working hours when required.
• If a critical system or data problem occurs, they may need to respond and provide technical feedback.
