Job summary

Data Flows Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a proactive Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology across projects. You will gather requirements, analyze processes and translate objectives into technical specs.

You will plan projects, monitor progress, design logical data flows and ensure user acceptance testing with clients. The role requires strong communication, collaboration across teams and familiarity with REST, microservices, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 2 years experience in Business Analyst.
• Experience with software development, software testing and issue tracking.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge with various programming concepts or technologies such as REST API, Microservices Architecture, Git Flow, MySQL Database, Cloud Infrastructures (AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business goals, processes, and needs.
• Act as the primary point of contact with end users to understand their needs, collect and clarify requirements.
• Translate high-level business objectives into actionable technical specifications.
• Define and present business/technical process work flow using flow charts and sequence diagrams.
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in requirements and address them with stakeholders.
• Define project scope, deliverables and timeline; oversee progress and deadlines.
• Collaborate with development teams to design solutions aligned with business needs.
• Coordinate testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients and track issues.
