Job summary

NI (NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS) Malaysia is seeking a software/firmware developer to unleash the value of systems and hardware through drivers and software features. You will design, implement, and test software for current and new products in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a degree in CS/CE/EE, and strong C/C++ skills with knowledge of OS concepts, architecture, and hardware programming. Collaboration across R&D, manufacturing, and other groups is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in computer science, and/or computer engineering, and/or electrical engineering.
• Strong understanding of computers and high-level programming languages (C/C++).
• 2 to 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of software design and architecture principles; OOP; programming for hardware or systems; computer architecture and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Unleash the value of systems & hardware through development of drivers, software, or firmware.
• Specify, design, implement, and test software features for new and existing products.
• Drive software development excellence, continuous improvement and bring innovation into software and hardware products.
• Work with colleagues from R&D hardware/software, systems R&D, manufacturing, or other groups.
• Sustain and maintain the software product meeting quality and security requirements.
