Job summary

Lam Research in Batu Kawan, Malaysia seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to support the new product pilot production, virtual manufacturing, and high-volume facilities. You will oversee planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations to tackle technical and production challenges.

You will optimize manufacturing costs, maintain quality standards, and drive efficiency within a dynamic, global operations environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities in electro/mechanical assemblies.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
• Proficient in CAD/PLM/PDM systems.
• Experience in Engineering Change Management Process.
• Knowledge of Operation Method Sheets (OMS), process planning, and BOM management.
• Graduate eligible role.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
• Design, develop, and implement safe, cost-effective complex equipment and assembly methods for all manufacturing phases.
• Define processes for high-volume manufacturing including OMS, routing, and sequencing.
• Perform virtual build and create sequence of assembly.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and drive efficiency.
• Review and develop designs to improve manufacturability and assembly.
• Coordinate new product builds in pilot production with manufacturing and product engineers.
• Create and release engineering drawings and BOMs using ECM processes.
• Develop handoff packages for transition to high-volume manufacturing.
