Job summary

Tentacle Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to take charge of end-to-end project delivery within the finance sector. This hybrid role is a 6-month renewable contract, requiring coordination with business analysts, developers, testers, infrastructure and delivery teams, as well as vendors to ensure on-scope, on-budget, and on-time outcomes.

Responsibilities include planning, risk and quality management, vendor and resource oversight, and regular progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 8-10 years of Project Management experience with at least 2 years in relevant industry.
• Proven track record managing projects through full life cycle, from inception to post-deployment stabilisation.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, budget and resource management skills.
• Familiarity with project management methods, tools and standards, with a commitment to quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project implementation, including planning, risk management, quality control, vendor, financial and resource management.
• Develop project work plans, define timelines, effort and key activities, and plan for testing, data migration, deployment and training.
• Set up project teams based on the project charter and run kick‑off, working committee and steering committee meetings.
• Track deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor progress, while maintaining the risk and issue register.
• Prepare regular progress reports for key stakeholders covering status, risks, spending, budget, resources and timelines.
• Manage project documentation, collect delivery metrics such as RSI and DRE, and coordinate activities across departments and vendors.
• Analyse project dependencies, resolve business and technical problems, and stay current with new technologies and project management tools.
