Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage end-to-end core banking system implementation or replacement projects within banking environments.
• Oversee project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution to go-live and post-implementation support.
• Work closely with core banking vendors and platforms such as Temenos Transact, Oracle Flexcube, Infosys Finacle, Silverlake SIBS, or similar systems.
• Manage integration across core banking, channels, and downstream systems.
• Establish and manage project governance, reporting, RAID logs, and delivery tracking.
• Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, with clear escalation and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including business users, IT, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, scope, and quality standards.
• Engage and manage stakeholders across all levels, including senior management.
• Lead steering committee updates, workshops, and key project discussions.
• Manage vendor performance and ensure alignment with contractual and delivery expectations.
• Support requirements gathering and translate business needs into implementation plans.
• Provide advisory on core banking transformation, implementation approach, and best practices.
• Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across banking systems and processes.

Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related fields.

Mandatory Experience

Proven hands-on project management experience in core banking system implementation or replacement within a banking environment.
