Job summary

Hirehub Management Sdn. Bhd., a leading manufacturer in data center solutions, is seeking an HVAC Quality Engineer to ensure quality, compliance, and high performance of on-site HVAC systems in mission-critical environments in Banting, Selangor.

You will implement QA/QC procedures, inspect installations, review tests, and coordinate with contractors and clients to drive quality improvements, with a focus on N+1 redundancy and precise climate control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical/building services.
• Minimum 3 years HVAC QA/QC in construction, preferably data centres.
• Good communication in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Implement QA/QC procedures for HVAC works including ITPs, checklists, and method statements.
• Inspect installation of HVAC systems including CRAC/CRAH, AHU, FCU, ducts and insulation.
• Ensure N+1 / 2N redundancy, temperature/humidity control, and airflow management.
• Witness testing and commissioning and review reports before handover.
• Coordinate with contractors and client representatives to ensure contract compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and prepare QA/QC reports.

Job Summary

The HVAC Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and performance of HVAC systems installed on-site, particularly in mission-critical environments such as data centres, server rooms, and power rooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement QA/QC procedures for HVAC works, including preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and method statements.
• Inspect installation of HVAC systems, including: chilled water systems, precision cooling units (CRAC/CRAH), air handling units (AHU) and fan coil units (FCU), ductwork, insulation, and air distribution systems.
• Ensure HVAC systems meet mission-critical requirements, including redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N), temperature and humidity control, and airflow management such as hot aisle / cold aisle containment.
• Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities, and review all reports prior to system handover.
• Review and manage project documentation.
• Identify non-conformities (NCRs), conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure HVAC works comply with contract requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and prepare QA/QC reports for submission to the QA/QC Manager or Project Manager.
• Support project completion and handover activities, including final inspections, documentation submission, client interface, and defect rectification.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of HVAC QA/QC experience in construction projects, with strong preference for experience in data centres, server rooms, power rooms, or other mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, with familiarity in data centre standards.
• Familiar with testing and commissioning processes.
• Possess good communication in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia; wellcoordination and report writing skills, with the ability to conduct inspections, audits, and drive quality improvements on-site.
