Job summary

Veltech Engineers Indonesia in Malaysia is seeking experienced HVAC Engineers / Technicians to join our project team. You will be responsible for HVAC installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and site coordination on Data Centre, industrial, and large MEP projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience, read drawings, and are willing to work at site and extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HVAC experience.
• Ability to read HVAC drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong practical knowledge of installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Experience working on construction or MEP project sites.

Job description

We are looking for experienced HVAC Engineers / HVAC Technicians to join our project team in Malaysia. The successful candidates will be responsible for HVAC installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and site coordination. Candidates with experience in Data Centres, Industrial Facilities, Commercial Buildings, Power Plants, or large MEP projects are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

Installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of HVAC systems

Carry out inspection and functional testing of HVAC equipment and systems

Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and identify mechanical/electrical faults

Work with AHU, FCU, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, ventilation and exhaust systems

Perform HVAC testing and balancing activities where required

Check temperature, pressure, airflow, humidity and other operating parameters

Read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, equipment manuals and technical documentation

Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities

Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, BMS and other MEP teams

Prepare inspection reports, testing records, checklists and commissioning documentation

About you

Diploma / Degree / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related field

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HVAC experience

Strong practical knowledge of HVAC installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting

Experience working on construction or MEP project sites

Ability to read HVAC drawings and technical documentation

Good communication and coordination skills

Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team

Willingness to work at project sites and, when required, work extended hours or shifts
