Job summary

Specific Dimension Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Construction Supervisor to oversee daily on-site activities, manage progress against the master program, and coordinate HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning. You will liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve design clashes, manage quality control, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Understand and manage daily site progress against the master construction program
• Coordinate site access, manpower, tools, and material delivery for subcontractors and direct labor
• Resolve design clashes and coordinate shop drawings between different trades and work with BIM drafter to solve this before bringing to site for installation
• Raise RFIs to the consultant/client when design discrepancies arise on-site
• Liaise with Main Contractor, Consultant, and Client on quality matters
• Directly supervise sub-contractors, supervisors, foremen, and direct labor on the site floor
• Assign daily targets to installation teams
• Monitor daily manpower headcount and track labor productivity against targeted progress
• Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) with the workforce before starting work
• Interpret shop drawings, construction drawings and BIM for the installation crews
• Resolve on-site clashes or installation constraints and report obstructions and delays
• Coordinate daily material movement from central store to installation floors
• Ensure installation teams have the correct tools, scaffolding, and consumables
• Maintain Daily Site Diary/Log with reports on completed work quantities and delays
• Take progress photographs for monthly claims and record-keeping
• Prepare Project Quality Plan (PQP) for construction and HVAC works
• Develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for ducting, piping, insulation, equipment installation, testing & commissioning
• Review HVAC shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and technical specifications
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, consultant specifications, and local authority standards
• Maintain QA/QC documentation including checklists, inspection reports, test reports, and material approvals
• Conduct incoming material inspections and verify materials meet submittals
• Ensure proper storage and handling of HVAC materials on site
• Monitor HVAC installation works and ensure proper supports, hangers, and vibration isolators
• Verify slope, clearance, and routing comply with approved drawings
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare reports
• Issue Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR)
• Witness critical tests including hydrostatic pressure testing, duct leakage testing, and NDT/radiography
• Identify deviations, issue NCRs, and track CAPA to closure
• Manage the project Punch List (Snag List) during closing phases
• Prepare documents for inspection by authorities and support consultant inspections
• Attend project meetings and report daily field progress
• Develop Commissioning Plan, testing scripts, and sequential checklists (Pre-commissioning, Functional, Performance)
• Coordinate LOTO and energization schedules with the site team
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure equipment readiness for power
• Verify 100% completion of static testing with T&C forms
• Witness pressure testing for refrigerant and chilled water piping
• Ensure flushing and chemical cleaning of chilled water system
• Witness air balancing and water balancing
• Ensure control system and thermostat calibration
• Perform Pre-Functional Testing (PFT) for HVAC equipment
• Execute functional tests on chillers, AHUs, pumps, and VSDs
• Witness and log TAB for air and water systems
• Test integrated system operations with BMS controls, interlocks, and cause-and-effect matrices
• Lead Integrated Systems Test / Black Start testing for data centers or high-spec facilities
• Compile final Commissioning Report and oversee client O&M training
• Prepare and compile T&C reports and as-built drawings for HVAC
• Prepare O&M manual submission and ensure warranty documents are complete
• Support project handover and final inspection and conduct client training
• Prepare and present reports and clarifications to management
• Manage client expectations on timeline, cost, and quality
• Act as main contact for clients and consultants when requested by management
• Resolve disputes and maintain professional relationships
• Assist workers with daily attendance and site coordination with HR on hostel and worker issues
• Any other related tasks assigned by superior.
