Job summary

Evergrand Electronic Scientific Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking an HVAC Engineer to design and support HVAC systems for semiconductor, cleanroom, and industrial facility projects.

You will develop concept designs, prepare detailed drawings, select equipment and coordinate installation and commissioning. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical or Building Services HVAC, relevant design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to work with project and site

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC design for semiconductor, cleanroom, new energy or industrial facilities preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of HVAC design codes, standards and technical requirements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.

We are seeking an HVAC Engineer to undertake HVAC design and provide technical support for semiconductor, new energy, cleanroom and industrial facility projects. The role covers concept development, detailed design, equipment selection and technical coordination through installation, commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

Develop HVAC concept designs and detailed construction drawings based on client requirements and project specifications.

Design heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, smoke control and smoke extraction systems.

Participate in drawing reviews and conduct design briefings for project and construction teams.

Select suitable equipment and prepare material schedules, technical specifications and supporting design documents.

Review and check drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness and coordination with other engineering disciplines.

Support the commercial team with design development, technical clarifications and cost analysis.

Provide technical support during construction, installation, testing, commissioning and acceptance.

Resolve site technical issues and coordinate design changes with relevant stakeholders.

Ensure designs comply with applicable national and industry codes, standards and project requirements.

Deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective engineering solutions.

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, HVAC Engineering or a related discipline.

Relevant HVAC design experience; experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, new energy or industrial facility projects is preferred.

Knowledge of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and smoke control systems.

Able to prepare design calculations, select equipment and produce technical specifications and material schedules.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Familiar with applicable HVAC design codes, standards and technical requirements.

Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with commercial, engineering and site teams.

Able to provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is required for technical and management coordination with Mandarin-speaking teams and China headquarters.
