Job summary

NUR Power Sdn Bhd is a Malaysia-based Independent Power Utility focused on generating, distributing, and retailing electricity within Kulim Hi-Tech Park. The HV Operation Engineer will monitor, operate, and manage LV to 132 kV distribution networks, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient power delivery.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, BEM PE registration, and a minimum of five years in operation and maintenance of electrical distribution networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia as a Professional Engineer or with a Practicing Certificate.
• At least 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of an electrical distribution network.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the distribution network system (LV, 11 kV, 33 kV, 132 kV).
• Execute switching operations for distribution system assets.
• Plan operations and prepare switching plans.
• Maintain HV & MV grid single-line diagrams.
• Coordinate plant and network outages.
• Oversee field response crews and SCADA technicians during switching.
• Liaise with commercial units and customers as required.
• Develop and review distribution operation procedures and safety rules.
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with safety rules.
• Perform safety audits and standby duties.
• Other responsibilities as required.
