Job summary

NUR Power Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Distribution Operations Technician to oversee the operation and monitoring of the Kulim distribution network, including LV and high-voltage assets. The role involves switching, safety documentation, outage response, and coordinating maintenance and contractor activities.

Applicants should have 5+ years in equipment maintenance, commissioning or testing, and relevant Suruhanjaya Tenaga competencies.

Qualifications

• Preferable Suruhanjaya Tenaga B4/BO Competency for 11kV or above.
• A4 competency may be considered.
• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate distribution system equipment (LV, 11 kV, 33 kV, 132 kV) and supervise switching.
• Prepare switching plans for 11 kV/33 kV/132 kV.
• Issue safety documents per Distribution Safety Rules.
• Respond to customer service and outage calls; support maintenance.
• Conduct cable patrols, tracing, and substation inspections.
• Supervise service contractors and capital/network reinforcement projects.
• Perform cable testing, fault location, spiking, and record-keeping.
