Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks an experienced Competent Electrical Engineer (ST) to lead HV/EHV power infrastructure for hyperscale data centers in Malaysia. You will oversee grid interconnection, GIS/AIS substations, switching operations, and testing & commissioning in line with national and utility standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Competent Electrical Engineer with ST for 275kV/500kV exposure.
• BEM registration as PE/PEPC recognised professional engineer.
• 6–10 years in HV substation or mission-critical interconnections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HV/EHV substations, protection schemes, and switching operations.
• Oversee grid interconnection schemes with TNB and regulators.
• Witness FAT/SAT and energisation of critical transmission assets.
• Ensure compliance with Electricity Supply Act 1990 and related regulations.
