Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR efforts at a large site, partnering with the site leader to drive performance and people strategies.

You will coach the leadership team, develop talent, and oversee staffing, training, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration across the site and, where applicable, multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of related HR experience preferred.
• Experience leading HR initiatives and partnering with leadership.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem solving in complex environments.
• PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to influence and develop relationships.
• Ability to work independently or within matrix teams.
• Knowledge of employment laws and compliance.

Job description

Purpose Statement:

Responsible for leading the Human Resources efforts at a single large site or multiple sites, serving as the business partner to the site leader; coaching/counseling the site leadership team in pursuit of desired site performance; developing human capital strategies for the site; leading site HR services. Influences direction and creates a vision for the HR team.

Key Job Accountabilities:

Lead site HR staff in delivering HR initiatives aligned with Corporate strategy, including staffing, training, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration. May also be responsible for HRMS administration, health, safety, and security.

Educate and advises leadership team on strategic HR issues and partners effectively with site management to execute strategic decisions, ensure understanding on business issues, provide clear vision and strategy to site on Talent and identify training and development needs of associates.

Develop and deploy recruitment strategies, manage recruitment process and lifecycle, identify future talent needs, and proactively develop talent pool. Provide leadership to the TA team, guide and develop team on problem resolutions, and achieve customer excellence.

Equips and empowers team to make decisions. Serves as a coach when problems are escalated and employees are seeking advice and need development coaching to facilitate communication with site employees.

Own the development and achievement of site HR metrics, monitor and report on various activities like staffing effectiveness, employee satisfaction, turnover, etc. Stay updated on legal developments and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 8 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with and influence internal and external stakeholders. Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Plexus Corp. in a professional manner.
• Ability to work both independently and in group or matrix managed settings
• PHR or SPHR certification a plus
