Job summary

Hengyuan Refining Company is seeking an HR Intern in Malaysia to support Talent Acquisition (TA) and Learning & Development (L&D) functions. You will assist with recruitment, coordinate training initiatives, and maintain HR records in a dynamic environment.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to core HR practices, including onboarding, candidate screening, interview coordination, and HR reporting, while developing organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree or Diploma in HR
• Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing candidates through job portals, social media, and employee referrals.
• Screen resumes and shortlist candidates based on job requirements.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain and update applicant tracking systems or recruitment spreadsheets.
• Draft and post job descriptions across recruitment platforms.
• Assist in onboarding activities such as preparing offer letters and documents.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating internal training programs and workshops.
• Support the creation of training materials, presentations, and e-learning content.
• Track employee participation and maintain training attendance records.
• Gather feedback from training programs and assist in analyzing results.
• Help update the L&D calendar and assist in organizing learning events.
• Maintain HR files, documents, and employee records.
• Support employee engagement activities and HR communications.
• Assist in preparing HR reports, presentations, and dashboards.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the HR team.
