Job summary

Career Wise is seeking an HR Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and policy implementation in Malaysia. The role requires 2-4 years of HR experience and strong knowledge of local employment laws.

You will maintain accurate HR records and provide frontline HR support to staff and management. The position offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
• 2-4 years of HR experience in consulting, recruitment or corporate environments.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, labor regulations and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment and selection process incl. job posting, screening, interviews and onboarding.
• Administer employee records and maintain HR documentation.
• Assist with development and implementation of HR policies and best practices.
• Provide HR support on payroll, benefits, leave management and HR inquiries.
• Coordinate training and development programs to support staff growth.
• Assist with employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Support performance management and appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and internal policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information.
