Job summary

Henkel is seeking an HR Operations Specialist (HR Generalist) to deliver consistent HR support across the organization in Malaysia. You will partner with HR teams, Payroll, and regional stakeholders to manage employee data, ensure compliance, and optimize processes.

The role requires 5+ years in HR Operations within a multinational, with strong knowledge of Malaysian regulations and hands-on experience with SAP/Workday. A proactive, collaborative, and multi-tasking mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HR Operations experience in a multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia employment legislation, payroll, benefits administration, statutory requirements, social security, income tax, and labor regulations.
• Experience supporting end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, leave administration, and employee relations support.
• Proficient in HR systems such as SAP, Workday, Time & Attendance systems; Exposure to HRIS, digitalization, process automation, or AI-enabled HR solutions is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix and multicultural environment.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and executes HR activities and administrative tasks to ensure effective day-to-day HR operations and service delivery.
• Provides support to managers and employees and executes HR processes at the country level; ensures compliance with corporate standards, audit requirements, statutory regulations and local laws.
• Assists in development and updating HR policies; prepares and maintains reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Communicates company policies and ensures understanding and compliance; supports HR projects, employee sessions, orientation, townhalls, and other activities.
• Liaises with external vendors for employment pass applications/renewals, medical health insurance, and EAP.
• Identifies areas for improvement and adopts best practices; analyzes HR metrics and enables analytics culture within HR.
• Analyses HR data to provide actionable insights; leads HR projects and initiatives across the region.
• Leads and assists with HR projects and initiatives, ensuring smooth execution across the region.
