Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assistant HR Manager to oversee the full range of HR activities, ensuring compliant and efficient HR operations aligned with the company’s goals.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in HRM or related field with at least 5 years of HR experience, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity. You will manage payroll, statutory contributions, and HR policy development while ensuring adherence to Malaysian labour laws.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices.
• Experience in payroll and statutory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, training and offboarding.
• Develop, implement and review HR policies, procedures and employee handbook.
• Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 1955 and other relevant Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Oversee monthly payroll processing and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB and HRD Corp).
• Manage recruitment activities and workforce planning to meet manpower requirements.
• Handle employee disciplinary matters, grievances and other employee relations matters.
• Support foreign worker and expatriate employment matters where applicable.
