The HR Advisor/HR Manager will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, reporting directly to the Senior HR Business Partner. In this role you will provide operational and strategic HR support for leaders and staff across Asia, covering performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding and off‑boarding, learning and development, and other HR initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day HR operations for assigned countries, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and company policies.
- Provide seamless support to employees and line managers on end‑to‑end resolution of HR queries, addressing concerns and grievances.
- Support the Senior HR Business Partner with HR plans, initiatives and projects for the Asia region to ensure consistency across transactions and initiatives.
- Lead specific projects and collaborate on region‑wide HR initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies.
- Coordinate and manage logistics of internal and external training across Asia.
- Monitor training effectiveness, analyse HR data and metrics to facilitate insight‑driven discussions on people analytics and trends.
- Assist with compensation planning and performance evaluation processes, supporting implementation of performance management systems, including appraisals and feedback mechanisms.
- Advise managers on labour laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance.
- Collaborate with line managers to roll out new HR modules, analyze SuccessFactors analytics, and keep the system up to date; provide coaching and feedback to line managers and drive team engagement.
- Coordinate and engage with Admin/Finance teams across the region for manpower updates, onboarding and off‑boarding of staff.
- Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements in the respective countries.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related business discipline, with 5–7 years proven HR experience.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Commercial acumen and focus on client partnerships.
- Experience with SuccessFactors is an advantage.
- Proficient in HR analytics – defining problems, collecting relevant data, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Experience in the professional services industry is a plus but not required.
- Ability to exercise discretion over confidential and sensitive employment information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
