Job summary

Amari Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to lead the housekeeping attendants in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas. The role ensures efficient daily operations and guest satisfaction while complying with hotel policies and safety standards.

You will assign tasks, conduct inspections, train staff, monitor attendance, and collaborate with Front Office and Engineering to uphold service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel.
• 1+ year of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; attention to detail.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning methods, and chemical handling.
• Basic computer literacy; familiarity with hotel property management systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assign daily cleaning tasks and room allocations to housekeeping attendants.
• Monitor the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, corridors, pantries, and public areas.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure hotel standards are consistently met.
• Coordinate with Front Office regarding room status updates and priority rooms.
• Report maintenance issues and follow up with Engineering for prompt resolution.
• Ensure adequate stock levels of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials.
• Lead, motivate, and support housekeeping attendants during daily operations.
• Provide on-the-job training to new and existing team members.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
• Assist supervisors in conducting performance evaluations.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication within the department.
• Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
