Wang’s Hotel @ Gurney Drive is looking for a friendly, responsible and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team.
As a receptionist, you will be one of the first people our guests meet and will play an important role in making every guest feel welcomed, comfortable and well cared for.
We place a strong emphasis on excellent customer service, and employees who consistently provide great service and perform well will have opportunities to earn additional incentives.
Strong-performing employees may also be considered for continued or permanent employment after completion of the contract, depending on performance and the hotel’s staffing requirements.
Welcome guests warmly during arrival and departure
Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently
Manage reservations, booking modifications and cancellations
Answer guest enquiries in person, by telephone and through messaging platforms
Respond professionally to guest requests, concerns and complaints
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to resolve guest issues quickly
Handle guest payments and front desk cash accurately
Maintain accurate guest and booking records
Maintain a clean, organized and professional in your work space
Create a positive guest experience throughout each stay
Friendly, polite and professional attitude
Able to communicate in basic English
Basic computer skills
Responsible when handling cash and guest information
Good problem-solving ability
Able to remain calm when dealing with difficult situations or guest complaints
Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays when scheduled
Minimum SPM or equivalent
Previous hotel, reception, retail, F&B or customer-service experience is an advantage, but candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

2 days off per week
9-hour scheduled shifts, including applicable break periods
Rotating morning and evening shifts
Weekend and public-holiday work may be required according to the roster
Basic Salary: RM1,800 per month
Travel Allowance: RM150 per month
Service Point Incentive
Employees who demonstrate excellent customer service and strong work performance may receive service points.
1 Service Point = RM100
Sales Target Incentive
Additional bonuses may be awarded for achieving monthly hotel sales targets.
