Job summary

WYLD Group Asia is seeking a passionate Hot Kitchen Commis Chef for Magnificent Bakery Park, Petaling Jaya. You will assist with hot kitchen food preparation, cooking and daily kitchen operations, upholding high standards of hygiene and quality.

Experience in a hot kitchen is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued. Training and hands-on culinary experience will support your growth within a professional kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot kitchen dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, portioning and marinating as required.
• Assist senior chefs during daily kitchen preparation and service.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked and presented consistently according to company standards.
• Monitor cooking time, temperature and portion sizes to maintain quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and equipment.
• Follow proper food handling, hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving, checking, storing and rotating kitchen ingredients.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the senior chef of shortages.
• Label, store and handle ingredients according to safety requirements.
• Support the team during busy service periods and assist other kitchen sections.
• Carry out daily cleaning and closing duties as assigned.
• Follow instructions from senior chefs and management and maintain a positive team attitude.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as needed.
