Job summary

Cititel Express Ipoh seeks a proactive Sales Executive to drive revenue and occupancy through strategic partnerships with corporate clients and travel partners. You will deliver compelling proposals, monitor market trends, and coordinate with marketing for promotions to boost bookings.

The role requires 3–5 years in hospitality sales, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English, with Malay or Mandarin advantageous. Local travel to industry events may be needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales experience in hospitality or hotel sector.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and occupancy goals.
• Strong knowledge of hotel industry, distribution channels, and booking systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to achieve revenue targets and occupancy goals.
• Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators and other distribution channels.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients and corporate accounts.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning.
• Manage the sales budget and track KPIs to measure sales effectiveness.
• Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns and packages that drive bookings.
• Lead negotiations and close commercial agreements with corporate clients and group bookings.
• Attend networking events, trade shows and industry conferences to expand business opportunities.
• Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
• Train and support the sales team to ensure consistent delivery of sales objectives.
• Respond promptly to enquiries and maintain excellent customer service standards throughout the sales process.
