Job summary

Hilton Langkawi in Kedah seeks a Sales Manager - Reactive to represent the hotel to prospective clients, secure group-room and F&B business, and drive revenue across rooms, catering and events.

You will lead strategic sales planning, analyze market trends, coordinate with operations, and coach the sales team to deliver exceptional client experiences in Langkawi. This on-site role requires strong negotiation, relationship-building, and collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel Corporate, MICE, or Group room sales.
• Proven track record in driving revenue and managing key accounts.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Technical proficiency in hotel systems (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce, OnQ, Market Planner Survey).
• Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategy.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
• This position is based in Langkawi, Kedah.

Responsibilities

• Represent the hotel to prospective clients for group rooms, meeting space, and food and beverage services.
• Drive new business opportunities by responding to inquiries, initiating outreach, qualifying leads, and soliciting potential clients.
• Manage the full sales cycle: site visits, proposals, rates, contracts, and service of accounts.
• Develop strategic sales plans: create and execute strategies to achieve revenue and room-night goals.
• Analyze sales performance: evaluate reports to identify opportunities to strengthen conversion and competitiveness.
• Coordinate across departments to fulfill contracted services and uphold client satisfaction.
• Supervise and coach team members to maintain a positive, productive work environment.
