Job summary

Meili Resort Hotel Sdn Bhd in Sabah seeks a proactive sales professional to build relationships with travel agents, wholesalers and corporate clients. You will create customized proposals, quotations, and contracts, and ensure accurate details, approvals and timely follow-ups to close bookings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 1–3 years of sales experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and proactive.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel (if required).

Responsibilities

• Create prospect lists with contact persons, phone numbers and emails.
• Build relationships with travel agents and wholesalers.
• Prepare proposals and contracts with accommodation details, pricing, inclusions, payment terms and validity.
• Follow up proposals and quotations until confirmation.
• Participate in travel fairs and networking events; engage visitors and collect contacts.
• Generate new business leads via social media directories and tourism associations; seek referrals.
• Maintain customer relationships with festive greetings and promotional updates; record client preferences.
• Monitor competitor activities and stay updated on new facilities, rates and promotions.
