Job summary

Bagan Specialist Centre Sdn. Bhd. seeks a seasoned Facilities and Biomedical Engineering leader to oversee daily operations, safety and maintenance of critical hospital systems.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams, manage contracts, and drive continuous improvement across facilities and patient-care support services. You will ensure regulatory compliance, develop budgets, and coordinate with departments to meet service standards and cost-efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or facilities management.
• Minimum 5 years in facilities management or hospital support services with supervisory experience.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare environments preferred.
• CFHM certification or healthcare facilities management certifications are a plus.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and vendors is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance and preventive maintenance systems.
• Familiarity with MSQH Standard 3 and safety regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hospital facilities and engineering operations.
• Lead Facilities Management and Biomedical Engineering teams in maintenance activities.
• Ensure reliability of critical hospital infrastructure (electrical, HVAC, water, medical gases).
• Plan and monitor annual maintenance schedules and inspections.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports and regulatory documentation.
• Oversee biomedical equipment maintenance and calibration to regulatory standards.
• Manage hospital support services including housekeeping, security and waste.
• Monitor SLAs and vendor performance; ensure service quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with clinical/non-clinical departments for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with MSQH Standard 3 – facilities management.
