Job summary

KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital is seeking a Facilities/Engineering Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of the hospital’s engineering infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
• Certifications in Facility Management or Hospital Engineering are an advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facilities or hospital engineering.
• Experience with hospital systems and medical equipment preferred.
• Experience with BMS or CMMS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and economical operation of hospital buildings, facilities, assets, and equipment via PPM programs.
• Provide technical advice on operation, maintenance, system modifications, and upgrades.
• Ensure predictive and corrective maintenance practices align with industry standards.
• Maintain uptime and reliability of buildings, systems, and critical equipment.
• Administer maintenance expenditures within approved budgets and plans.
• Establish and monitor performance indicators for facilities/engineering activities.
• Analyze monthly reports and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Propose and evaluate new engineering equipment or upgrades.
• Coordinate projects from concept to handover with stakeholders and contractors.
• Review technical documents for tendering, testing, and commissioning.
