Job summary

ETD Makmur (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a High Voltage Substation Senior Project Engineer (Electrical) to oversee end‑to‑end HV substation projects. You will drive procurement, engineering, construction, testing and commissioning, coordinating with clients, consultants and site teams.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering with 3–4 years of substations experience and is willing to travel. GCWP/RAA is highly desirable and ownership of transport is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–4 years of proven substation project experience.
• GCWP and RAA qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full project cycle: procurement, engineering, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with client, consultant, local authority and site team.
• Coordinate sub-contractors for smooth site execution.
• Monitor project timelines and progress reporting.
• Prepare progress reports and progress claims.

High Voltage Substation Senior Project Engineer (Electrical)

Reporting to Senior Project Manager/Project Director, overseeing the execution of full project cycle process including procurement, engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the execution of full project cycle process (procurement, engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning)

Liaison with internal and external stakeholders (client, consultant, local authority, site team)

Coordination work with related sub-contractors to ensure smooth site work execution

Monitoring of project timeline

Prepare project progress report and progress claim

About you

Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited university (preferably in Electrical Power)

Minimum 3-4 years working experience with proven track record of successful substation project commissioned

Grid Contractor Qualified Person (GCWP) and Receiving Authorized Authority (RAA) holder is highly desirable

Possess own transport and willing to travel

Able to work in tight deadline with minimum supervision
