Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Malaysia is seeking a High Voltage Project Manager to lead data center HV substation projects (132kV or higher), coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver on time and within budget.

You will ensure compliance with Energy Commission regulations, oversee safety, documentation, and testing, and manage multiple stakeholders while reporting to senior Project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in HV substation or transmission & distribution projects.
• Experience with TNB projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, protection schemes, and SCADA integration.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of HV substation projects (132kV or higher).
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with Energy Commission regulations and TNB standards.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and quality, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead site inspections, safety audits, and technical reviews.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and permits.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Liaise with local authorities for approvals and inspections.
