Job summary

Finbond Heavy Machinery Sdn Bhd is seeking a field-service Heavy Machinery Mechanic to travel to customer sites across Malaysia, assisting with diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy equipment. You will perform basic to intermediate repairs and preventive maintenance, supporting senior mechanics on complex tasks at customer premises.

The role requires 0–2 years of experience in a mechanical or technical role, SKM Level 2/3 preferred, and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Job description

Location: Multiple locations available across Malaysia (Selangor, Kluang, Kuantan and Penang)
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years as Mechanic (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)

About the role

Travel to customer locations to assist the senior customer service mechanics with diagnostics and troubleshooting on a variety of heavy machinery. Perform basic to intermediate repairs and preventative maintenance tasks as directed. Support senior mechanics during complex repairs at customer premises. Work closely with other mechanics, following instructions and contributing to an efficient and positive team environment on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy machinery
• Perform basic to intermediate repairs and preventative maintenance tasks as directed
• Prepare the work area, tools, and equipment needed for each service job
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at the customer's site at all times
• Communicate technical issues, tool needs, or job progress updates to the Team Lead
• Accurately complete service reports, job cards, and timesheets for all work performed in the field
• Assist in documenting parts used for repairs to ensure accurate record-keeping

About you

• Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 2/3 in Automotive, Heavy Machinery, or a related technical field is preferred
• Diploma is an advantage
• 0-2 years of experience in a mechanical or technical role
• Fresh graduates from vocational institutes are strongly encouraged to apply
• Goods Driving License (GDL) is an advantage
• Willing to travel outstation for overnight jobs as required
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, to complete on-site jobs
