Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a Healthcare Engineer to support the Operations Manager in maintaining IT-related equipment and building services to ensure smooth day-to-day hospital operations.

The role requires at least 5 years in Facilities/Building Management, strong project management skills, and the ability to lead maintenance planning, budgeting, and staff supervision while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university; preferred majors: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Electronic.
• At least 5 years' experience in Facilities / Building Management System.
• Knowledge in Project Management.
• Ability to work independently, self-motivated and result oriented.
• Good written and communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Advantage: CHFM, REEM, CEM, CepSTPO, AP, LPG Responsible Person.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist management to ensure IT and building systems are in optimal condition for daily operations.
• Implement maintenance for Mechanical, Electrical, Civil systems.
• Plan preventive maintenance schedules and plan major services.
• Provide technical advice to project teams for enhancements/upgrades.
• Manage asset inventory, stock control and spare parts purchasing.
• Plan and monitor yearly budget; supervise department staff.
• Coordinate training for staff and participate in continuous improvement.
