Job summary

Big Pharmacy Healthcare Sdn Bhd is seeking a Category Executive to strengthen its merchandising team in Malaysia. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating product lines, and negotiating with vendors to secure best deals, while coordinating with internal teams on forecasting and inventory management.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in business studies with 1–3 years of related experience, and familiarity with rehab products and FMCG retail.

Qualifications

Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Studies or related fields.
Analytical skills, strong commercial acumen and problem solving skills.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

Sourcing and evaluating attractive product lines to meet market demand.
Negotiate contracts and promotions with vendors to secure competitive deals.
Coordinate with internal departments on inventory management, planning and forecasting.
Communicate with line managers during planning and purchasing processes with suppliers.
Identify growth opportunities and risks in assortment and develop contingency plans.
Maintain professional relationships with vendors and meet sales, margin and inventory goals.
Ensure pricing, promotions and marketing support merchandise division objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
