Job summary

Big Pharmacy Healthcare Sdn Bhd is seeking a Category Executive to strengthen its merchandising team in Malaysia. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating product lines, and negotiating with vendors to secure best deals, while coordinating with internal teams on forecasting and inventory management.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in business studies with 1–3 years of related experience, and familiarity with rehab products and FMCG retail.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Studies or related fields.
• Analytical skills, strong commercial acumen and problem solving skills.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Job Description:

Sourcing and evaluating attractive lines of product to meet market demand.

Work closely with vendor on contract & promotion negotiation to secure the best competitive deals.

To co-ordinate with internal department on inventory management, planning and forecasting.

Communicate and work closely with line managers during planning and purchasing processes with potential supplier.

Identify growth opportunity and risk in assortment and develop contingency plan.

Creates and maintains professional relationships with vendors.

Meets established goals for sales, margin, income and inventory levels.

Ensure that pricing, promotional strategies, and marketing of the goods support the objectives of the merchandise division.

Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Ability to work in a very fast paced environment while maintaining a professional disposition and demeanor at all times.

Requirement:

Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Studies or any related discipline related fields.

Preferably 1-3 years of working experience in the related field as Category Executive

Experience in retail pharmacies,rehabsupply stores is an advantage

Must have knowledge onrehab,rehabrelated products

Having buying experience, general skills and knowledge

Analytical skills, strong commercial acumen and problem solving skills

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

High level of integrity/ probity, numeracy & IT Skills and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in MS Office and strong in MS Excel

Good time management and work well under pressure.

Preferably candidate from retail/ FMCG industry
