Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) in Malaysia seeks an seasoned operations leader to head the Wholesale Operational Readiness Centre (WORC). You will drive UAT, testing, documentation, and training across Cash, Payments, Trade, Loans and Channels and lead a large multi-site team with senior stakeholder engagement.

The role requires 15+ years in wholesale banking, strong SWIFT knowledge, and proven leadership with a track record of enhancing testing and readiness frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced certifications in project management, testing, or process improvement are advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in financial institutions, with strong exposure to wholesale operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams (50+), including middle-management layers.
• Deep operational knowledge in SWIFT standards and processes within Cash Management, Trade Finance, or Loans.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, test management life cycles, quality assurance, and readiness frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose root causes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple teams to execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a wide portfolio of initiatives, including strategic transformation, digitalization, and regulatory programs.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure UAT milestones, timelines, and quality standards are consistently met.
• Establish strong governance practices, ensuring adherence to the Bank’s Software Development framework and operational risk standards.
• Partner with Head Office on project planning, capacity management, quality assurance, and productivity management.
• Chair monthly service review meetings with Head Office to present productivity, quality, risk, and people metrics.
• Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement; promote automation, digital tools, and GenAI solutions to uplift productivity and controls.
