Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years banking experience with at least 5–7 years in Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal Control, Audit, or Risk Management leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT requirements, BNM regulatory requirements, Risk Governance Frameworks, and Banking operations.

• Lead and oversee operational risk management, compliance governance, and the business control framework to ensure regulatory oversight.
• Act as primary advisor to Business Management on risk, regulatory compliance, governance standards, control effectiveness, and remediation of deficiencies.
• Ensure a strong risk and control culture, compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and independent challenge to business activities.
• Collaborate with Group Operational Risk, Group Compliance, Internal Audit, regulators, and other stakeholders to sustain effective governance.

Job description

The Head, Business Operational Control (BOC) is responsible for leading and overseeing operational risk management, compliance governance, business control framework, and regulatory oversight within Wholesale Banking.

The incumbent serves as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor to Business Management on operational risk, regulatory compliance, governance standards, control effectiveness, and remediation of control deficiencies.

The role is accountable for establishing a strong risk and control culture, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and providing independent challenge and oversight to business activities.

The Head, BOC will work closely with Business Heads, Group Operational Risk, Group Compliance, Internal Audit, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective governance and sustainable risk management practices.

Job Requirements

Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, or related discipline.
