Job summary

Chubblifefund is seeking an experienced Underwriting professional to lead the underwriting function for Accident & Health, focusing on growth and profitability. You will monitor performance, manage intermediaries, and maintain documented underwriting processes with financial discipline across the value chain.

The role includes portfolio analysis, market intelligence, product development, and training responsibilities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting to assess risk and underwrite new and renewal business for Accident & Health.
• Monitor revenue and profitability by line of business, product, channel, and sponsor; take timely corrective actions.
• Manage intermediaries to meet market requirements and ensure financial discipline across the value chain.
• Perform portfolio analysis and develop action plans to maintain targeted financial performance.
• Prepare and maintain monthly/quarterly performance reports with insights for internal stakeholders.
• Drive product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, including documentation and governance.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, vendors, IT, and distribution for product rollouts.
• Develop marketing strategies and materials for new products; coordinate with Marketing/Corporate Communications.
• Document analysis and information used for product development, pricing, and approvals.
• Create monitoring processes post-implementation to align with regulatory and company guidelines.
• Prepare product documentation for submissions to PIAM and/or BNM as needed.
• Conduct market research on competitors and industry trends; advise on strategic opportunities.
• Provide training to underwriters and related teams on underwriting processes and best practices.
