Job summary

Power Logic (M) Sdn Bhd is a Malaysia-based provider of UPS, power protection, and energy solutions. We seek a hands-on Head of Technical to lead technical operations, drive excellence, and support growth. Experienced Sales Engineers with strong technical backgrounds are invited to apply.

The role focuses on leading nationwide technical projects, mentoring teams, and ensuring top-tier quality, while collaborating with international suppliers on figurehead projects and audits.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s/Professional degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Computer/Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in UPS or power protection industry.
• Strong leadership, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in technical support, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of UPS systems.
• Knowledge of CE, SIRIM, ST, ISO and other industry standards is an advantage.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin-speaking applicants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain QA/QC processes for products and services.
• Manage product quality, warranty claims and corrective actions with overseas suppliers.
• Provide technical support for pre‑sales activities, solution design and project implementation.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for critical projects.
• Review and approve technical documentation, system specifications and maintenance manuals.
• Support ISO audits and regulatory compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Project Management

Lead and manage the technical team across nationwide projects.

Plan, monitor, and ensure the successful delivery of technical projects.

Develop technical strategies, engineering best practices and service standards.

Mentor, coach, and develop the technical team.

Technical Excellence

Lead complex troubleshooting, fault diagnostics and performance optimization for UPS systems.

Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance products and services.

Ensure high standards of technical quality and customer satisfaction.

Quality & Warranty Management

Establish and maintain QA/QC processes for products and services.

Manage product quality, warranty claims and corrective actions with overseas suppliers.

Analyse recurring issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Build strong relationships with suppliers, consultants, and key customers.

Provide technical support for pre‑sales activities, solution design and project implementation.

Act as the primary technical escalation point for critical projects.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with CE, SIRIM, ST, ISO and other applicable standards.

Review and approve technical documentation, system specifications and maintenance manuals.

Support ISO audits and regulatory compliance activities.

Job Requirements

• Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Professional Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the UPS or power protection industry.
• Strong leadership, project management and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in technical support, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of UPS systems.
• Good understanding of QA/QC processes, warranty management and supplier coordination.
• Knowledge of CE, SIRIM, ST, ISO, and other industry standards is an advantage.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Mandarin‑speaking applicants are preferred as the role requires communication with Mandarin‑speaking suppliers.
• Experienced Sales Engineers with strong technical knowledge and leadership potential are also encouraged to apply.
